The Peremptory Casey Davies

Chapter 46 Changing Everyone's Views

Chapter 46 Changing Everyone's Views

The embarrassment on Hunter's face was so obvious that almost everyone could notice it. The

chairman called him as soon as he did that. He was so awkward but had nowhere to hide.

"Okay chairman, I'll go there immediately." Hunter replied respectfully.

Even though he was now the manager of the branch office of the group, he wouldn’t dare to defy the

chairman's order, and he had to reply respectfully without any dissatisfaction.

What a rough day! Everything he wanted to do didn’t go well. Hunter cursed secretly in his heart.

He found that Casey was staring at him jokingly, thinking that his bad luck must be caused by Casey,

who was the bane of his day.

Diana and Edith also felt a little bit embarrassed for Hunter. After all, he was talking boastfully just now,

and now he had to rush to the chairman immediately after a phone call. The contrast was kind of funny.

However, neither of them spoke out, leaving Hunter some dignity.

"Well, our chairman is looking for me for an emergency, so I can't stay with you today. I will pay the bill

later; just feel free to enjoy the meal without me." Hunter said with a guilty conscience.

"If you have something to do, just go first." Diana said, and Edith also nodded.

"Oh? Didn't you just say that nobody would urge you even if you don’t go to work?" Casey interjected at

this moment.

Hunter's face turned blue suddenly, thinking that Casey must be saying that on purpose. He was

definitely making him embarrassed deliberately.

If it weren't for the chairman to call him, he would definitely stay and play the game with Casey.

"It's our chairman who is looking for me. Something important needs to be handled. Normally this is not

the case." Hunter still explained.

"Oh." Casey said coldly.

If Hunter had known that Casey was annoyed at him, so he asked Charles to make him away, he might

have vomited blood on the spot in anger.

"You can just shut up. The monitor is the manager of a company after all. You are a vagrant and you let

women pay for you. What qualifications do you have to make irresponsible remarks here?" Diana said

contemptuously.

Hunter agreed with Diana's words very much, and he also had contempt for Casey.

He did not talk to Casey again, but turned to look at Edith, and said, "Edith, you should go to the class

reunion two days later. Many classmates miss you and say that they want to see you there."

Edith nodded and said, "Well, I will try my best to go there.”

Hunter saw Edith agreed, so he got up to pay the bill, and then left here.

Seeing that Hunter was gone, Diana turned to look at Casey and said dissatisfiedly: "Hey! Hunter

invited you to dinner out of kindness, and you said that deliberately to embarrass him."

"I'm just telling the truth." Casey said lightly.

"Huh, I think you are just jealous of him, because you are afraid that he will win Edith’s heart from you."

Diana pouted.

"You mean him? I'm afraid he's not qualified enough." Casey was indeed very serious this time.

"Stop, you don't even blush when you tell lies. I think you can do nothing except bragging. Edith said

that your voice is a bit like my prince charming back then. Now I think you can't even compare with a

single hair on my prince charming’s legs." Diana said angrily.

Casey didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry, and it was a little strange to hear Diana compare

himself with himself.

"Okay, stop arguing, just eat, or the food will be cold any minute." Edith stared at them both.

The two of them stopped arguing.

After eating, the three of them walked out of the Harue restaurant. Edith looked down at the watch on

her wrist and she liked it very much.

Seeing that Edith adored the watch from Casey so much, Diana immediately leaned over and asked,

"Edith, you won’t really accept this loser, right?"

Edith did not answer her directly, but said, "I feel that Casey’s performance is quite good during this

period, and he is very reliable, which gives me a sense of security."

“Him? Reliable? I think he is the most unreliable person in the world. Look at the watch you wear. He

must have bought it from a roadside booth. Maybe it’s only a few dozen dollars. "Diana said with

disdain.

"I think it's pretty good," Edith said.

Diana sighed helplessly, and said, "I really don’t know how to make you understand, but you have to

promise me that you won’t take Casey with you when you meet the classmates."

Edith glanced at Casey and said, "Why can't I take him? They didn't say that you can't take a plus-one.

And if I drink too much, he can take me home."

Diana really felt that Edith was bewitched by Casey, and didn't know what to say for a while.

The three separated at the intersection. Diana returned to her home. Casey and Edith walked back

together.

Both of them have Vacheron Constantin watches on their wrists, which looked very good.

"Aren’t you afraid that your classmates will laugh at you if you take me to your class reunion?" Casey

asked.

Edith laughed and said, "I’m not afraid at all. I’ve already thought this through. I can't live in the

opinions of others, as long as I know that you are nothing like what they say."

Casey felt moved and said firmly: "I will definitely make everyone change their views of me, and I will

never let them laugh at you because of me in the future."

Edith didn't reply, and quietly walked towards the front.

When he arrived at the gate of the housing estate, Casey subconsciously glanced towards the side

selling pancakes, and then found that the cart which was used to sell pancakes had fallen on the

ground, and the eggs were crushed into pieces. There were obvious signs of fighting.

Casey's heart shuddered, and he quickly walked over there.

He looked at the ground and found that there was still blood.

He quickly asked a person next to him: "Sir, where’s the man who sells pancakes? What's going on

here?"

"A bunch of people suddenly rushed over and chased the pancake seller. No one knew what

happened. The pancake seller fought with them for a while, and then ran away. Now No one knowsTêxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

where he is." The man replied.

Casey nodded thoughtfully, and then went home with Edith.

After arriving home, he immediately sent a message to Morgan, asking Morgan to find out what was

going on.

Casey still had a good impression of the man who sold pancakes. Although he knew that he was not as

simple as he seemed, Casey wanted to find out the truth, even just for the sake that the man had

warned him once.

Early the next morning, Casey received a message from Morgan.

“Casey, I've checked it out. The man should be alive now. I will tell you the details when you

come.”
