Chapter 617
Steven's admiration for Annalise would inevitably wane over time.
Chloe believed that by the time that happened, he wouldn't still be bitter about the vasectomy. Instead, he'd come to realize that everything she'd done was for his benefit.
The more she thought it over, the more certain she became that she had to break up Zane and Annalise. She hailed a cab and went straight to the entrance of Huxham Corporation.
When she arrived and saw the gates shut, she froze.
Upon noticing her standing there, a few passersby kindly informed her, "Huxham Corporation is closed on weekends. If you're looking for someone, you can come back on Monday."
Chloe gave them a vacant nod. "Okay, thank you."
If Zane and Annalise weren't at work, that was fine. Chloe could always go to the Huxham residence instead.
She had to deal with this today. If not, Steven would keep holding it against her, and she couldn't stand it anymore.
...
The car rolled steadily down the road. Shane was seated in the front passenger seat, while Sasha sat in the back.
Shane glanced over his shoulder at her. "We've each got about 30 million dollars left, right?"
Sasha wasn't sure why he was bringing this up but nodded anyway. "Yeah."
"Are we putting all of it into the company?" he asked.
"No problem," Sasha replied without hesitation.
Shane followed up with another question. "But if we both invest the same amount, does that mean we'll each own half of the company?"
Sasha shook her head. "I'm not usually involved in the company's day-to-day operations. You'll be handling both the big decisions and the small details. So, you can take 51% of the shares, and I'll hold 49%. That way, you'll always have the final say. Does that work for you?"
Shane wanted to refuse, but after giving it some thought, he realized this was probably the best solution for now.
After a brief pause, he finally said, "Alright."
When the car stopped in front of the Huxham residence, Shane and Sasha stepped out one after the other and rang the doorbell.
Zane opened the door, and while he didn't look particularly thrilled to see them, he let them in.
Sasha dashed straight into the villa, and the moment her eyes landed on Annalise, she hurried over and threw her arms around her. "I've missed you so much."
...
Feeling Sasha's enthusiasm, I gently patted her back, saying, "I missed you, too."
She grabbed my hand and led me to the couch, her excitement spilling over. "Shane and I have decided to start a new company."
I blinked in surprise. "Really? That's amazing-congratulations!"
Sasha hesitated for a moment, then pulled a stack of papers from her bag and handed them to me. "Here's our initial plan. Could you take a look and see if there's anything we should adjust?"
I took the papers and skimmed through them. The detailed considerations for starting a
company and the outlined focus for its future caught me off guard. looked at Sasha with a hint of astonishment.
"Is something wrong?" she asked.
"No," I said, genuinely impressed. "I wasn't expecting you to have such a thorough plan already for your first time doing this."noveldrama
A sweet smile spread across Sasha's face.
I continued, "A few areas could use some adjustments, but nothing major."
As I skimmed through the rest of the document, I highlighted the parts that needed refining. Sasha diligently took notes while Shane, who had initially seemed indifferent, started to pay closer attention.
Once Sasha had written down everything, I gave her shoulder a light pat. "You've done a great job."
Shane fixed his gaze on me, saying,
"When Sasha first told me how
f
talented you are, I thought she might've been overselling it. But after listening to you break down our issues and suggest practical fixes, I realize now..."
What do you think?
