Chapter 50 Aunt Patricia Is The Best

The music continued playing in the background, but by the time Vivian came to her senses, it was too late for her to start singing.

Exasperated with her mistake, the host of the banquet ordered the emcee to usher Vivian off the stage.

Meanwhile, the band skillfully transitioned into playing a piece of trio chamber music as if that was the plan all along.

All the guests present were dignitaries, and of course wouldn't make a fuss about such a trifle.

Even so, as the host of the banquet, people from the Film and Television Association felt very embarrassed.

"Aunt Patricia, I..."

Vivian was at a loss for words when she saw Patricia walking towards her.

Patricia had just been scolded by the director of the Film and Television Association, so she couldn't even force a kind smile at this moment.

"Don't say anything.Let's go," she said in a low voice.

Although Patricia doted a lot on Vivian, she was still a rational woman. She knew that it would only be more humiliating for her and Vivian if they continued to stay at the banquet.

"Go?! But the banquet just started. You haven't introduced me to all those investors and directors yet," Vivian protested unhappily.

She hadn't expected the cost of her blunder on stage to be so high.

"Silly girl. What's the point of introducing you to them now? They will only have a bad impression of you.Let's go," Patricia explained, but with a hint of irritation and reproach in her tone.

Only then did Vivian realize how serious the situation was.

Once again, her gaze was attracted to all the people crowding around the wheelchair.

As she stared at the woman pushing the wheelchair, she couldn't help but tremble in anger.

Maria! It was all her fault. Why did she have to attend this banquet? It was her presence that had distracted Vivian from her performance.

Vivian couldn't help but think that Maria must have done it on purpose.

After all, she had entered the banquet hall with Anthony just as Vivian's performance had started. It was too much of a coincidence. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

When Vivian noticed Maria talking to Lyndsey, her hatred intensified.

As for the impeccably handsome face of the man sitting in the wheelchair, it brewed complicated feelings in Vivian's heart.

Pressing her lips into a thin line, Vivian reluctantly followed Patricia all the way to the parking lot of the hotel.

It was only after making sure that they were all alone that Patricia turned to speak to Vivian.

"Vivian, why did you make a mistake just now? The banquet is such an important occasion.Didn't I repeatedly tell you to bring your best performance?"

Upon hearing this, Vivian's eyes turned redder.

"Aunt Patricia, it's all because of Maria. She made such a big scene and distracted me from my performance!" Vivian complained.

Patricia was silent for a moment.

It had not escaped her notice that upon Anthony's arrival, several of the most important guests at the banquet had taken the initiative to go and greet this former heir of the Wilson Group.

There was no doubt that the Wilson family was unimaginably wealthy.

However, could a former successor who had fallen from grace still hold such an important position? Patricia wasn't that smart and insightful after all, and she just couldn't figure out what was going on.

Perhaps it was nothing but friendship between young people.

Anthony seemed to be on good terms with the heirs of other rich families.

Whatever it was, Patricia knew one thing for sure: Anthony was no longer the successor of the Wilson Group.

That was why she had been against letting Vivian get engaged to him in the first place.

Comforted by that thought, Patricia shoved aside her worries about Anthony's influence and came back to the problem at hand.

"Vivian, never mention what happened today, or you will continue to embarrass yourself.Anyway, you already have a role in the Legend of Anne.As long as everything goes well, I will do my best to make you famous!"

Patricia promised earnestly.

As a member of the Film and Television Association and an actor in the field for over twenty years, she undoubtedly had the power and influence to help a newcomer like Vivian.

It was only after hearing these words that Vivian felt like she could breathe again.

Sighing, she held Patricia's arm and confessed, "Aunt Patricia, sometimes I feel that you take care of me better than my own mother does."

Patricia smiled and gently stroked Vivian's head.

She whispered, "Silly girl.No one can love you more than your own mother."
