The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2711

After we were done handling matters with the company, Theo and I went to Petra and Grayson's place in preparation to bring the children back. The two elder adults looked very happy, likely because I had not visited with Theo for a long time.

"Since you two are here, have dinner before you go. It's not every day that you two visit." Petra grabbed my hand with a look of expectation.

I looked into her eyes and could not bring myself to refuse her. I turned to look at Theo. "Why don't we eat before we go?"

"Sure," Theo blurted out.

I did not expect him to agree so cheerfully. Theo's impression of Petra and Grayson had not been very good ever since Petra treated me poorly after wrongly recognizing me as her daughter. Theo had been holding onto that despite that a long time has passed and so did not come around often.

Hearing him agree, Petra immediately asked the maid to prepare dinner before dragging us to the living room to have a chat.

It had been a long time since they sat down together as a family and it felt warm. It also filled the cold villa with comfort.

Time always flies whenever we chatted over meals.

Before we knew it, it was already dark.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

The children were sleeping soundly while Theo carefully carried them into the car.

"Mom, Dad, we'll be going home now. We'll come to visit you two another day," I turned to Petra and Grayson and said.

Petra could not help nodding. "You must."

Despite Grayson, who was standing next to her, not being good with words, I could still see the reluctance in his expression.

"Yes, I will."

After that, I got into the car. Through the car mirror, I saw Petra and Grayson standing at the door for a long time until they finally faded out from view.

I could not help the pang of sadness that made its way into my head.

My nose turned red. I felt the tears filling my eyes about to immediately fall from them.

Upon noticing that I was behaving off, Theo turned to look at me. When he caught a glimpse of my red eyes, he quickly pulled over and caressed my head. "What's wrong?" he asked softly.

I pursed my lips and shook my head. "I'm okay. It just felt like we don't visit them a lot."

"In the future, as long as we have time, we can come back once a week."

Looking at Theo, I wiped my tears. "Can you face them now?"

"There is no hurdle that cannot be passed. After going through so many things, I'm over it."

Theo seemed to have changed a lot over the years.

I smiled. "That's good then. You said it yourself, yeah."

"Yes, that I did." Theo was wearing an affectionate smile on his face before he left a kiss on my forehead.

Suddenly remembering the text

message I received at the company,

I brought it up to Theo. "Sylvester

sent me a message before he let

today He said he has something important to tell me and asked me to meet him when I have the time. What do you think?"

Theo frowned when he heard this. "The Yards are tricky people. They probably want to make up stories again, so don't go."

It made sense.

I nodded. "Okay. I'll take your word for it then and not go."

Theo smiled lightly and then continued driving.

"Say, don't you think there should be a banquet or something to replenish Grant Corporation's luck after the huge fiasco this time? The staff was almost scared to death." "You have a point, Madam. We'll go with what you say then."

"I know you're going to push it onto

someone else." I glanced at Theo, an idea already forming in my mind. "The typical banquets aren't interesting. Or, should we have a masquerade ball?"

Theo was obviously not interested in this. "You can just plan whatever."

"Then, I'll arrange the event."

It had been a long time since I organized a happy occasion so it made me a little excited.
