Uncle's Love: My Sweet Little Wife

Chapter 47 Would Kara Fall in Love in High School?

Chapter 47 Would Kara Fall in Love in High School?

James was surprised to see Silence.

Silence was serving the army. As a member of the special troops, he had to keep his whereabouts

secret and barely had any vacation.

Silence asked, "Can you resist your impulse in face of such a young girl?"

They were all adults so sometimes they talked about sex life frankly.

"..."

James looked sullen and tried to punch him, but he keenly noticed that Silence's arm was bulging. He

stopped in time.

"You are injured?"

"Nothing big deal."

Silence glanced at his wound indifferently and said, "I'm quite interested in that girl."

James was speechless.

They were truly his BEST friends!

"The girl is a rare beauty. In a few years, she will definitely become a goddess." Will said honestly.

"What about her character?" Silence asked.

"Good question. I know many beautiful women, but not many of them are smart." Rory answered.

Rory was a well-known playboy and had no type. But he insisted that his bosom friend deserved a

girlfriend not only beautiful, but good-natured and considerate.

"Rory, zip your mouth." James warned.

"Hey, look at James' look." Rory curled his lips and said, "Need I find you another woman to cool you

down?"

"Fuck off!"

James was really angry, and no one else dared to say anything anymore.

Will changed a topic. Silence seldom had any vacation. They chatted for a few more minutes. James

looked at the wound on Silence's arm, sent him back to the hotel early.

"Are you really interested in that girl?" Silence asked seriously after they got in the car.

James started the car and lapsed into silence for a moment.

"That's a yes."

They grew up together and were bosom friends for many years. They could read each other's mind,

especially when it came to girlfriends.

"Will and Rory were just joking. Don't take it seriously." James sneered.

"You could fool them around with the excuse that she is your friend's daughter, but it doesn't work with

me." Silence looked at him with a smile.

He knew that James was not such a kind-hearted person who would help his friend's daughter just for

the sake of friendship. He even went to the hospital to keep the girl company when she was sick.

James was not a doctor. He just wanted to make sure that everything was OK with the girl.

James seldom showed any concern for any one after his grandfather's death, not even when Zoey,

who was close to him, was hospitalized.

James rubbed his forehead helplessly, "She treats me as an uncle. How could I have other purposes

on her?"

He could always get whatever he wanted.

However, when it came to Kara, he was not sure about his feelings for her, not to mention to get her.

As a man in his late twenties, what he needed was not a relationship for fun. He wanted to settle down.

"Is that so?" Silence sneered.

James noticed that Silence became sharp-tongued after he joined the army.

For a moment, it was dead silent in the car.

"James, do you believe in love at first sight?"

Suddenly, Silence asked.

"Has your brain got injured as well?" James looked at him strangely.

Silence sneered, "I wish. But unfortunately, that's not the case."

"Silence, everything all right? Did something happen to you?" He noticed that Silence was not in a

good mood, and there was a trace of sadness in his voice.

Silence was not talkative. It was abnormal for him to talk about such an emotional topic.

"I'm older than you. If you're bothered by relationships, all I want to say is to cherish what you got."

Silence smiled after saying this and soon regained the indifferent look.

James curled his lips and said, "You have no say about relationship. You've been single for so long.

Just go and find a girl yourself."

James and Silence ridiculed each other relentlessly. Although they had not seen each other for a long

time, the friendship between them remained deep.

When James returned to his villa, he felt a headache when he thought of how he had lost his temper

with Kara before.

He did not know why he always lost control over his temper with her.

...

Kara got back from her morning jog and was surprised to see Nolan driving away.

It was seven o'clock now. Why did Nolan come so early? She quickened her pace and ran back to the

villa.

"Good morning, Miss Kara."

Libby offered the towel and asked Kara to go upstairs to get changed and then have breakfast

downstairs.

"What did Uncle Nolan come for? Is there anything wrong?" Kara asked with concern.

"Oh, Mr. James would be on a business trip today. Nolan is here to pick him up." Libby replied.

Kara was surprised. She covered her head with the towel and somehow felt disappointed.

Last night, she had been thinking about apologizing to Uncle James. Now that Uncle James was going

to be on a business trip, she did not know when he would be back.

She went to class in a bad mood. Arya patted her shoulder for several times when she was staring at

the notebook absent-mindedly.

"What are you having in mind? The teacher asks you to answer a question."

"Ah?" Kara suddenly stood up, with her knee smashing into the desk, which caused her to cry out in

pain.

"Whoops, calm down. It's only a joke." Arya hurried to support her and looked for medicine in her bag

at the sight of Kara's red knee.

"..." Kara glared at her dejectedly.

"Alright, I 'm sorry. I'll buy you lunch." Arya apologized.

During lunch, Arya noticed that Kara was absent-minded. So she asked with concern, "Was the Quains Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

bugging you?"

Kara regained her sense and shook her head, "It is a long story."

"Tell me about it. Perhaps I could give you some suggestions." Arya urged.

Kara and Arya were different in personalities. Kara was introverted, and tended to keep everything to

herself if no one asked her to talk about it.

"Uncle James was angry at me. I'm worried that Uncle James would hate me and stop helping me."

Kara was depressed.

"I don't want to rely on him. But I'm not powerful enough now. Without him, I could not deal with the

Quains. Furthermore, my health is in poor conditions and I frequently got hospitalized. I'm afraid that I'll

die all of a sudden."

Arya frowned and hugged her.

Kara was in poor health conditions and took drugs every day. She could not afford this sum of money

herself.

Moreover, there was also the Quains targeting her. Without James' protection, she would be done.

"Why was he angry?"

Kara lowered her head and told Arya about the quarrel between Mr. James and her.

"I planned to apologize this morning, but he'd gone on a business trip. I don't know when he'll be back.

Arya, do you think Uncle James would regard me as a bad girl if I fell in love in high school?"

"Would he?" Actually, Arya was not sure as well.

"I don't think Mr. James is unreasonable. Besides, you are not in a relationship. Eli just offered you a

notebook. Just return it to Eli and then explain to Mr. James."

"Then it would be all right?"

Every time Kara thought of being kicked out of the villa by James, she became extremely anxious and

was about to cry. Yesterday, she had nightmares all night.

"If this failed, we could find another way." Arya said.
