Unconscious Husband: Meet Her Love In Silence

Chapter 1851

With Melons health no longer a concern, laughter and cheerful voices filled the space outside the examination room.

Meanwhile, in the hidden basement cell.

Sadies belly had steadily grown larger over time.

Yet, her arms and legs were still slender, her face hollow and drawn; only her stomach was big, giving her a somewhat ghostly look.

The door to the hidden cell swung open, and Phil stepped in, holding a tray.

The tray bore a plate of spaghetti, topped generously with meat and vegetables.

Beside the plate was a small box of the heart medication Sadie regularly took.

Heres some food for you, Phil said as he handed the tray to Sadie.

Noticing Sadies sullen demeanor, he let out a sigh and attempted to comfort her, saying, Given the things youve done, its quite lenient of Mr.

Fredrick to keep you alive.noveldrama

Plus, the chef cooks fresh meals for you daily. You might not have an appetite, but you should eat for your babys sake.

Sadie gave no reply.

It was only as Phil was about to leave that Sadie looked up at him vacantly and inquired, Whats the weather like outside right now? Caught off guard by her abrupt question, Phil replied, Its sunny today.

sunny… Sadie echoed, resting her head against the chilly wall, her gaze distant.

I really want to go outside and soak up some sunlight.

Phil had been watching over Sadie for a while now.

He had seen her losing control before, lashing out and muttering nonsense.

But he had never seen her like this.

Today, her face was pale as ash, and her voice was barely a whisper, like she was teetering on the edge of death.

Are you feeling okay? Theres a doctor assigned here just for you.

If youre feeling anything odd, especially with the baby, I can call the doctor over, Phil said, concern thick in his voice as he turned to look at her.

Sadie shook her head weakly, her fingers brushing the edge of her quilt.

No, its nothing… Its just… Theres no window here.

Its cold and damp.

Could you air the quilt outside for me since its sunny today? Phil nodded without hesitation.

Sadies request seemed harmless, and besides, she was pregnant; a warm and dry quilt might help her sleep better.

But as Phil bent to take the quilt, he didnt see the sudden change in Sadies eyes-a flash of cold malice.

In an instant, Sadie snatched a glass and brought it crashing down onto Phils skull.

The glass exploded into shards.

Phil reeled back, clutching his head, blood running from his wound, His heart pounded in his chest as he stared at Sadie, eyes wide with shock.

But before he could even say anything, she was already lunging at him with another object.

In a frantic scramble, Phil raised his arms to block her attack. Sadies fury was unrelenting, her strikes fierce.

Phil grimaced, dodging a blow to the face, his hand instinctively rising to subdue her.

But he stopped short, his eyes darting to her pregnant belly.

He didnt want to hit Sadie because she was pregnant.

That split-second of hesitation was all Sadie needed.

She grabbed the plate from the table and smashed it over Phils head.

The plate hit Phil with a sickening thud, sending him crumpling to the floor.

He barely had time to process the horror of it all before Sadie was on him again, her hand clutching the plate like a weapon.

The ceramic shattered as she pounded it against his head, her breath coming out in ragged gasps.

Finally, Phil was dead, and Sadie collapsed to her knees, chest heaving.

But what Sadie hadnt expected was that Enzo had heard the noise from outside.
