Chapter 16 The Other Woman
Chapter 16 The Other Woman
“Go back to your room. Leave the mess.” Liam regarded Amber shrewdly, appraising her shabby, faded
night dress.
Mia had been observing Liam’s expression since Amber appeared, alarmed by his unwavering and
intense gaze at Amber’s sleep dress and her tempting body shapes.
Liam was never lecherous. On the contrary, he was self-restrict, almost to the degree of asceticism.
Surrounded by all kinds of beautiful women since childhood, he showed little interest. But the way he
fixed his gaze at Amber…
Startled by this finding, Mia clutched to Liam’s arm, staring at Amber in an amiable smile: “You are Miss
Currie, right? I heard him talked about the deal. Rest assured. My Liam is a good man of his words. He Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
will never touch you even without the contract. Do make yourself at home here. Both of you will be free

“My Liam is a good man of his words…” Repeating those words inside, Amber felt Mia was asserting
her ownership of Liam.
Embarrassed enough, Amber felt so wronged by Mia’s hostility. How dared she reach for Liam?
How could she, a poor, if not penny less grassroots woman compete with Mia, a wealthy, beautiful and
well-connected lady?
Amber’s silence wore Mia’s patience thin. But good education kept her smiling: “Liam, what a shy,
bashful lady she is!”
A lopsided smile betrayed Liam.
Unfortunately, his subtle expression caught by Amber, struck her as ironic and superior.
Stung by the shame of being the other woman, Amber felt so degraded and awkward.
Turning her eyes away, Amber tried to pull a grin towards Mia: “Sorry to disturb you two. Now, excuse
me.”
Amber’s leave relaxed Mia.
She hated to have Liam and Amber living under the same roof—no doubt, it was a fake marriage to
appease public critics. However, it was suspicious for Liam to resist to have sex with her at the excuses
of the contract.
Self-restrict as he was, Liam had normal, healthy sex drive at his prime age. Their sex, though not as
passionate as it should be, was always pleasant and enjoyable.
Why did everything change since the arrival of Amber Currie?
