Chapter 52: I'm Trying
Chapter 52: I'm Trying
"Mommy, look!" He pointed above. When I looked at it, I saw a kite.
"Why? You want one?" Diego asked him while we were walking through the seaside.
"Yes Daddy Uncle! Can I have one? Please? I want to try it too!" He said while holding Diego's hand.
"Of course! Anything my son wants." He said and messed up his hair. I looked at them walking through the store.
He was so happy while they were running and forgot about me.
They were both laughing when they realized that they had left. They stopped, and I frowned while walking towards them.
"It seems like you guys forgot about me, huh?" I raised my eyebrows, but they just laughed.
"I'm sorry we just got carried away. " Diego laughed while David held my hand, and we started walking.
When we arrived at the store, David immediately picked the largest kite, which made Diego laugh.
"Are you sure you can handle that?" Diego asked him while they were paying the owner.
"You're going to help me, right, Daddy, Uncle? Actually, the truth is I don't know how to use this," he said, showing the kite in his hand. I laughed while Diego tried to stop himself from laughing.
"Of course, let's go so we can try it already, "Diego said. I watched them play while Diego taught my son how to use the kite. A few minutes later, he already knew what to do.
"I did it! I did it, Daddy Uncle! I did it, Mom!" He said while holding the kite string. He even ran towards me and showed me.
"Wow! You made it!" I picked his cheeks, which made him giggle.
Actually, we only have plans to swim, but when he saw others playing kites, he curiously wanted to learn how to do it, too.
After he's done playing, Diego starts to pace the food that we bought on the picnic carpet. We also have big umbrellas.
"Can I go swim now?" He asked me while looking at the others in the water.
"Let's just wait for your Daddy Uncle to finish fixing our food, okay? After that, we can go," I told him, and he nodded while watching the others. Diego placed the drinks he had bought and looked at David. "You want to swim now?" He asked him, and David nodded.
"Yes, Daddy Uncle," he answered. Diego immediately removed his shirt, stood up, and carried David through the water, which excited David.
"Let's go!" Diego shouted, and I laughed while watching them have fun. They even told me to come there, so I removed my shirt and wore a one-piece bikini.
I could see some other men looking at me, but I just simply ignored them. I went to them while Diego assessed me.
"Is there something wrong?" I asked him, but he just shook his head and smiled at me.
"Nothing, it's just that you're getting sexier," he said, which made me chuckle. Actually, I don't usually do this, I don't know what's got into me.
"Can you bring me over there?" David asked Diego while pointing at the floating boat.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
"We can't go there, baby; that's not ours. Don't worry, the next time we come here, I'll buy one so we can explore this area," Diego said, and David nodded.
All we did was play in the water. We even thought of building a castle in the sand, and David really liked it.
What I really like the most is seeing
my son happy like this.
I always wish this for him. I know I couldn't do this alone, and Diego is a big part of us. If it was not for them, I don't know what actually happened to us.
David also considers him his father.
Sometimes, can't stop thinking. What if Travis didn't cheat on me? What if he chose to stay with me? What did he think about me, even
just for once? What would be our life
now?
Maybe David is so happy that he has a complete family that he doesn't have to worry about Travis. I have so many things on my mind, and I can't stop thinking about them.
If only Travis had chosen to stay and fixed what is between us, then maybe we would be a happy family. But I know it won't happen.
His mother Hated me. She didn't want to accept me because I was totally different from them.
And Travis? He is very persistent in breaking up with me. Even if he didn't tell me about it, I know that's what he wants.
He wants a divorce. Maybe I was wrong about him. I shouldn't believe his lame words or excuses. I shouldn't trust him that much. I regret loving him.
I regret meeting him in the first place. If I could only bring back the past, then I wouldn't let this happen.
I won't let him ruin me and give me pain that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
"Mommy? Are you okay?" I heard my son ask me, and I smiled at him while nodding.
I held his face, I don't mind if you look like your father Baby. That won't change the endless love I have for you. You are my everything, and I will do everything for you. "Yes, it's just that I'm happy seeing you smiling." I told him, and he looked into my eyes for a moment and smiled.
I look at Diego, I know he's been staring at me but I'm just ignoring him.
I still lack the strength to tell him about my feelings or talk to him about them, but I don't want to give him false hope.
I'm really trying, Diego. I am.
"What do you want to do after this?" I asked my son.
'I wanted to rest in the meantime,
Mom. Daddy Diego told me that we will sleep here tonight," he said, and I nodded. Diego had already talked
about it. I sigh and look away.
