Chapter 921: Indeed Has Ideas
Luna still had her back to him, “My buttons were undone, you saw it, but you didn’t remind me, is that respecting me?”
“But I didn’t see anything, or maybe, did you want me to see something?” Orion, not sure if it was the tiredness from work, leaned back and pressed his temple wearily.
It wasn’t intentional.
But indeed…
He was a normal man, let alone a woman he liked.
He did have ideas!
If he were indifferent, that would be a problem!
He was normal, physically, physiologically, all healthy.
Luna bit her lip, suppressing her displeasure.
For the sake of Starr, she had to endure, and she would be more careful in the future.
“Mr. Russo, Starr is going to sleep, let’s end the video call.”
She still had her back turned.
But Orion refused, “You are someone I paid for, you should follow my orders, my request isn’t unreasonable, right?”NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
Luna, “…”
Indeed, she was currently a nanny, hired by Orion.
She had to respect the employer’s requests.
But…
Why did she feel so repulsed at this moment?
She couldn’t accept any of this!
She hugged Starr tightly and slowly turned around.
She looked down, avoiding eye contact with him.
Orion stared at her, unflinchingly, trying to get some response from Luna in this way.
But Luna gave him no opportunity, her head bowed low.
After a few minutes of stalemate, Orion finally compromised, “You’ve worked hard taking care of Starr…”
“It’s not hard, it’s what I should do.” Luna quickly replied.
“You rest well.”
As soon as he finished speaking, the video call between him and Orion ended.
The screen dimmed, and tears fell from Luna’s eyes.
Feeling Luna’s emotions, Starr stopped playing with the toy in her hands.
“Mmm… yawn…”
Luna composed herself, holding Starr.
“Mommy really wishes to see you grow up.”
Luna said silently, adjusting her emotions, then took Starr to bathe.
She held Starr, telling her stories and patting her back gently.
Starr fell asleep quickly.
The endless darkness enveloped them, unprecedented solitude swept over.
Only holding Starr could make her feel secure; with Starr around, she wouldn’t feel lonely.
She looked at Starr’s small face, so soft, so cute in her sleep.
Watching her peaceful face, her heart felt warm.
She slowly closed her eyes.
She slept fairly peacefully that night.
Time ticked away.
The darkness gradually dissipated, welcoming the dawn of a new day.
“Knock, knock, knock~”
Vivian knocked on the door early in the morning.
It woke Luna, who looked at Starr, ensuring she was still asleep, then got up to open the door.
A disheveled Vivian stood at the door, looking at Luna in her pajamas, fresh and clean, which made her face flush with anger!
“You really have it good!” she almost gnashed her teeth.
Luna was puzzled.
Slightly furrowing her brows.
She was upset; why was Vivian taking it out on her?
“Did you have a mishap?” Luna asked.
Vivian blurted out like spilling beans, “I’m really unlucky; I went all the way to buy roast goose for Mr. Russo, even from a faraway place in the South City. I ran so far, worked so hard, and Mr. Russo didn’t even see me. I’m almost dying of anger; how can he treat me like this? It’s simply unbelievable.”
Luna looked at her speechless.
Doesn’t she understand the Golden Rule?
Doesn’t she know it’s not right to push herself like this?
She couldn’t be bothered with the woman; she turned and went inside.
“Hey, what do you mean?” Vivian felt scorned by Luna.
“Kelsey Silverton, stop right there!” Vivian fumed.
Lune didn’t want to start a confrontation; she turned to look at Vivian, “Mr. Russo didn’t see you; if you’re upset, don’t take it out on me, I didn’t provoke you.”
Luna glanced at her, “How did you end up like this?”
“And also, when I came back, the car broke down on the way, I called a tow truck, found out my phone was dead, spent the night in the car, now my face isn’t washed, and my teeth aren’t brushed.”
Luna took a deep breath, “Then go wash up and rest; I need to change clothes too.”
“Hey!” Vivian was incensed.
She hadn’t blown up yet, and yet she dared to vent at Luna, “What kind of person are you to order me around?”
Luna, “…”
This person is really unreasonable.
She had no words.
She didn’t want to bother.
But Vivian kept shouting.
Luna’s expression turned cold, “Early in the morning, you’d better be quiet. If you wake Starr up, I’ll tell Mr. Russo that you have a bad temper and a loud voice, disturbing Starr from sleeping.”
Vivian’s face turned ferocious, but she didn’t show any sign of extinguishing her anger.
Because she felt threatened.
“You want to complain about me? It’s simply unheard of!” Vivian stomped her foot in anger!
Luna stared at her calmly, “Men like gentle, dependent girls. Look at you, shouting and scaring people, looking ferocious. You say Mr. Russo didn’t see you, if he saw you like this, he would have fired you long ago, wouldn’t he?”
Vivian’s anger instantly died down.
Luna’s words hit close to home!
She felt disgruntled, but thinking about Luna’s words, she suppressed it!
It’s okay, it’s okay…
She did some mental restructuring in her mind!
Vivian calmed down.
Luna could now focus on washing up and taking care of Starr.
Vivian had not slept all night, so she went to sleep now.
Without Vivian around, Luna enjoyed the peaceful space.
Starr woke up, crying for her grandma.
Because she had soiled her diaper and it was uncomfortable.
Luna had almost figured out her routine; she usually pooped in the morning.
She brought clean water and changed Starr’s diaper, then washed her.
Starr seemed relieved, instantly stopping the crying.
Her face still had tear drops.
Her eyes were red.
She blinked.
Luna kissed Starr’s little cheek!
Starr was delighted.
With Starr dressed in new clothes, Luna quickly made some food during this break.
She had a simple breakfast and then cleaned up the house.
Luckily, Orion wasn’t home, so she didn’t have to spend energy concealing herself; plus, she slept well the previous night, so she was still in good spirits.
Vivian also got hungry and saw Luna had eaten already.
She furrowed her brows, “You are so selfish, eating by yourself and not caring about me?”
“I remember you’re here to help; if Mr. Russo finds out you’re lazy, will he keep you around? Will he let you stay in his house?” Luna retorted coldly.
Vivian, “…”
Once again, she extinguished her anger!
She went to the kitchen, gritting her teeth.
The doorbell suddenly rang.
Vivian’s eyes lit up, could it be Mr. Russo?
She happily went to open the door.
Only to see Alf Hicks standing at the door!
“Why are you here again?” Vivian’s words stabbed Alf Hicks in the heart.
He rubbed his mouth and had to think of a way to get this woman to leave!
