Wren couldn't bear to see Clara endure hardship in a place like this. He knew she refused to accept his gift because she didn't want any further ties with him, but he couldn't help it. He couldn't just sever all ties with her.

Clara didn't expect Wren to misunderstand. She looked at him seriously and said, "I'm not lacking money. I bought the electric bike because it's convenient.

"Over the years, I've already received so much from the Zachman family. Now that you're getting married, I don't want to keep relying on your money. It wouldn't be right. If Ivy finds out, she won't be happy, either."

She took a deep breath and looked at him calmly. "Some things just aren't right to say. I'll pretend I never heard the things you said before. From now on, you're still my brother. I wish you and Ivy all the best."

Tears welled up in Wren's eyes as he bent down. He gently took Clara's hand and placed it on his cheek. "Clara, please, just look at me again," he pleaded.

"Wren, you've already broken my heart once. Are you really going to do the same to someone else?"
