Chapter 164
Chapter 164
Logan said to Jonathan and Willie, "I'll go in and check on Ari."
After he said that, he entered the hospital ward. Meanwhile, Willie held Jonathan back from trying to tag along with Logan.
"What are you doing?"
Willie smiled at him. "Mr. York, why don't you see me off?"
Jonathan took a quick glance at me and Logan in the ward. He had no choice but to agree to Willie's suggestion. "Alright, alright. I'll see you off."
Even though I had recovered from my leg injury for the most part, I still had to rest my leg most of the time.noveldrama
Dr. Quinell removed the metal screws for me before he removed my cast.
He examined my leg personally, then said to me, "Young lady, do be careful in the future. If you end up having any more screws in these beautiful legs of yours, you might not be able to wear dresses for the rest of your life."
I quickly nodded in acknowledgment.
Dr. Quinell took another careful look, then prescribed two weeks' worth of medications and ointment for me.
In a shocked voice, I asked, "I have to drink tonics too?"
Dr. Quinell's face dropped. "Are you saying that you don't want to be on medication?"
With a conflicted look on my face, I said, "It's bitter, though..."
Dr. Quinell thought about it briefly. "In that case, I'll prescribe something that's not as bitter." Skeptically, I asked, "There are tonics that aren't bitter?"
Dr. Quinell chortled. "There aren't any for other patients, but for you, there will be."
I giggled. "That's really nice of you, Dr. Quinell."
Dr. Quinell mumbled to himself, "I should also include something that improves iron levels in her blood. She's a little anemic. With better iron levels, she'd have the energy to bear children in the future..."
I exclaimed, "What did you say? No, I don't want-"
Dr. Quinell made a few more scribbles on the prescription, then looked at me with a gleeful smile.
"Your physical health is very important. I'll be waiting to meet your chubby little son and daughter in the future."
My face flushed red. I snatched the prescription from him. "No, no. Remove these. W-Whose children... am I going to bear..."
I didn't even know what to say.
The male and female apprentices next to Dr. Quinell were giggling.
Nervously, I clarified, "Mr. Quinell, I'm not married yet. Wait, no... I'm in the midst of a divorce. Hold on... That's not it..."
The more nervous I got, the more I stumbled on my words.
How was I going to explain myself out of this freaking situation?
With his slender fingers, Logan pulled the prescription out of my hands. He smiled at Dr. Quinell and said, "Thank you, Dr. Quinell. I'll make sure she takes her medication."
Dr. Quinell's grin widened when he saw Logan. "That's good to know. Oh, right, when can I meet with your grandfather for a game of chess? Is he back in the country?"
Logan nodded. "He is. He's just out of town to attend to some matters and will be back in two days.

Dr. Quinell gestured us to leave and said, "Alright, got it. Hurry up and get her medication from the dispensary. Don't come again if nothing else happens."
Logan held onto me as he excused us politely.
As we exited Dr. Quinell's office, I still had a blush on my face.
Logan, on the other hand, was looking carefree. Looking at his behavior, I really felt like beating him up.
I lowered my voice. "Shall we talk to Dr. Quinell again and ask him for a new prescription?" Logan asked, "Shall we ask for fertility medication?"
Without any hesitation, I pinched him hard on his arm.
Logan raised a brow. "I'm going to groan if you pinch any harder. That'll attract the attention of many..."
I let go immediately.
Logan laughed. He ruffled my hair and said, "Wait for me right here. I'll get someone to get your medications from the dispensary."
I wasn't going to remain here and embarrass myself. I grabbed onto his arm right away. "No, take me with you! Don't you see all those people laughing at me?"
Logan held back his laughter and led me away from the consultation room.
As we walked through the hospital's hallway, we found a bench and sat down as we waited for Mr. Russell to help me with my discharge procedures.
I rubbed my face repeatedly.
Logan queried, "Are you feeling unwell?"
As he said that, he put his hands on my face in a swift move.
What do you think?
