Chapter 72

Chapter 72 Nightmare

Had Siema imagined it? Why would Theo be at the hospital at this time? noveldrama

she reached out to pull open the curtain beside her but saw nothing as the curtain on the opposite side was drawn..

“Mts. Shaw, is something wrong?” The nurse tummed upon seeing Sierra pull open the curtain and walked over to ask.

Sierra glanced at the curtain opposite, shook her head, and smiled faintly. “Nothing.”

The mirse nodded and left.

Sierra let go of the curtain and leaned back against the bed again.

The scent smelled familiar, so maybe it was someone else using the same perfume. She might have been overthinking it.

Theo must still be angry with her.

She lowered her eyes, and a trace of apology flickered in her gaze. She took her phone, found Theo’s number, and hesitated for a long time, but still didn’t make the call.

They were never meant to be on the same path, so it was better not to get too entangled.

The issue between her and Benson hadn’t been completely resolved yet. Benson’s words yesterday made her uneasy.

If things got out of hand in the end, as a member of the Gray family and the president of the Gray Corporation, he would certainly stand with them, not with her, an outsider.

With that thought, she took a deep breath, put down her phone, turned off the light above her, and lay down to rest.

Meanwhile, the curtain opposite was pulled back to reveal a small gap.

Theo silently watched her shadow that the light on the curtain cast.

Being this close, lying beside her, was something he had never dared to imagine before.

In the dead of night, Sierra had a nightmare. In the dream, she was still about five or six years old, with William and Vera each holding one of her hands as she held a happy smile. But in the next second, they pushed her into a huge pit together.

William had a sinister smile. “You’re a jinx. I never wanted a daughter like you. You should have died a long time ago, Why don’t you die?”

She was terrified and quickly looked at the woman beside him. “Mom, Mom, save me.”

However, her usually gentle mother wore a vicious expression, which was horrifying, “Don’t call me Mom. You’ve always disregarded my words. I made you marry Benson for your own good. Why don’t you understand my intentions? Since you refuse to listen to me, I will no longer treat you as my daughter.”

After that, both of them turned and lett.

“Mom, Mom, save me.‘

“Mom, I’ll listen. Don’t abandon me.”

“Mom! Mom!”

Theo heard the voice and opened his eyes, quickly walking over to pull open the curtain. He saw Sierra with her eyes closed, and her expression was filled with pain. He bent down and softly called her, “Siri? siri, wake up.”

However, she didn’t respond,

He frowned, raised his hand, and checked her forehead temperature–it was alarmingly hot. His expression immediately turned serious, and he pressed the bedside button

The nurse quickly walked in.

“She has a fever,” he mentioned in a deep voice. “Call the doctor.”

“Huh?” The nurse was startled for a then took out a thermometer from her pocket and measured Siega’s temperature–it was 104°F.

“How could it be this high?” The nurse was horrified.

“Why haven’t you called the doctor yet?” The growled, his voice tinged with impatience and anger.

The nurse hurriedly ran off to call the doctor on–call.

Theo gently stroked Sierra’s burning cheek. The normally composed man was now visibly flustered, and his eyes were filled with concern. “Siri, you can’t be in any danger.”
