Sierra woke up and was slightly surprised upon hearing the doctor’s words. “Did I have a high fever yesterday? 

“Yes, Ms Shaw, you had a fever of 104°F last night and tell unconscious. It scared the doctors and –

Only then did Sierra notice Adrian. She asked in confusion, “Adrian, why are you here?” 

She didn’t remember much about what happened last night. It seemed that she saw Theo in her delirium 

Could it be that it wasn’t a dream? Did he come last night? 

“Oh, Mr. Gray received a call from the hospital this morning saying you had a high fever, so he asked me to come check on you,” Adrian responded with a dry laugh. 

Sierra’s eyes flickered slightly. 

So, Theo only found out about her tever this moming. How could he have appeared at the hospital last night? She must have been delirious from the fever, which made what she saw just an illusion. 

Moreover, he sent Adrian to check on her knowing that she had a fever, which seemed to confirm that he was still angry about what she said yesterday. However, he had only ever shown her any care because of Edward, so it was normal for him not to come. 

Still, there was an indescribable, subtle feeling of disappointment deep down. 

She raised her eyes and spoke softly, “Thank you for coming, Adrian ” 

“It’s no trouble as it’s my duty.” Adrian smiled. 

“I’m fine now, Adrian. Please don’t delay your work.” 

“Alright, Mr. Gray has arranged for two caretakers to look after you. They’ll be here shortly, and I’ve also arranged for your meals. Please just focus on resting and recuperating here at the hospital.” 

She paused slightly before speaking softly, “Please thank Uncle Theo for me. I appreciate his kindness, but I’ll pay for the caretakers and medical bills myself.” He was momentarily stunned and quickly clarified, “Ms. Shaw, Mr. Gray has already paid for all that.” 

“I’ve already troubled him too much. If you don’t accept the money, I’ll just discharge myself now.” Though her voice was weak, she was incredibly tim Adrian couldn’t refuse and had no choice but to accept her contact information. He saw her transter him 10,000 dollars. 

“Ms. Shaw, it doesn’t require this much,” he mentioned. noveldrama

“It’s not too much.” Sierra knew why the doctors were being especially considerate toward her. This VIP room must not be cheap, and the meals… 

The 10,000 dollars was nothing for Theo, but she didn’t have much extra money, so she could only give him this for now. “Adrian, please accept it.” 

Adrian had no choice but to accept the money. “Ms. Shaw, rest well. I’ll leave now.” 

“Okay.” 

After having breakfast under the care of the nurses, Sierra saw the nurse enter and tidy up the bed next to hers. When the nurse shook the blanket, a button fell to the floor next to her bed. 

She looked down at it and furrowed her brow slightly. “Miss, could you please pickup that button and show it to me?” 

The nurse walked over, picked it up, and handed it to her. 

Sierra looked at it carefully for a few seconds. The image of Theo wearing a suit yesterday flashed through her mind, and her expression became more serious. This button looked very similar to the one on Theo’s suit. 

Benson only liked custom–made suits, and she used to help him pick them out, gradually learning a lot about them when she was still with him. This button was from a well–known design brand with a logo specifically for it and was part of the same private tailor–made collection as Theo’s suit.
