Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1565

Noticing the gloominess ahead of him, Wyatt felt his head throb. "What a

coincidence, they are all here?" He mumbled to himself.

"Please take care of Mr. Morgan. It's inconvenient for us to talk today, so it's better for us to get him to stay for two more days! We can't expect to go through the back door, but we must know something about their strategy and situation..."

The implication was that it was better to obtain some accurate information! Noticing the look in his eyes, Seth nodded in understanding.

Although their competitor's products remained in the market, it was gradually replaced by their products. They had no other choice since the replacement of products could not be achieved in an instant. There were products of different kinds, a lot of which were dependent! Since they did not fall out with each other that day, they did not intend to rashly reduce or change the production of items to win themselves some time!

"Give me the car keys! Give me a call when everything's dealt with!"

As he spoke, Wyatt gave a helpless pat on Seth's shoulder. "Without you, my right-hand man, I don't know if I can handle it well!"

The implication was, "I can't do it without you! It depends on the situation. If I can't do it, you'll have to go over and help out!"

He knew that Seth must be exhausted, but there was nothing he could do since all the events were in a collision!

"I see! Stay safe when you drive!"

They then parted ways. Seth changed a glass of wine and returned to the crowd. Taking the opportunity to visit the washroom, Wyatt hurriedly left the place.

Before he exited the building, he had wanted to find a chance to return Waverly's call, but when he got in the car, he received phone calls all the way. What was more, the authorities at the airport urged him non-stop to pick up his speed, so with a fierce step on the accelerator, Wyatt forgot all about it for the time being.

When he arrived at the airport, he discovered that the situation was worse than he had imagined.

On one side, all Raynee knew was to cry. Although she claimed to have her family pick her up, in fact, it was just a driver, who knew nothing. After making a call, the useless younger sister who caused more trouble, Stephanie, showed up. She had been muttering aside and making all kinds of sarcastic remarks.

The scene was like a thorn that pricked into Wyatt's chaotic heart.

"Officer, she doesn't need to be detained for getting the suitcase wrong, does she? My friend did mention that this is not her luggage! Can't you retrieve the footage from the surveillance cameras? My friend bought official flight tickets from the official website of the airline company, not to mention how she went through regular security checks. If the suitcase does carry smuggled and illegal items, it is impossible to get through the security check!"

She denied that the suitcase was hers. If she took the wrong luggage, how could she become a suspect?! Why should she be detained on bail and be taken back to the police station for detention?

"Sir, it's not like we were making things difficult on purpose! Everything was normal when the luggage was brought on the plane, and our surveillance cameras did capture the security surveillance records! According to the retrieval of the luggage and the surveillance footage, however, the surveillance footage showed that the problematic luggage has always been in Miss Wagner's hands! Right now, we haven't received concrete news yet. Is the luggage here to lure out a big target on purpose, or was it brought in due to an omission? We don't know who the suitcase belongs to right now! From the contents of the luggage, it seems like this is indeed a woman's belongings and clothes that are Miss

Wagner's size!"

They shook their heads along the way as the staff seemed to be in a difficult position.

"Unless we find the person who took the wrong luggage, or have concrete evidence to prove that the suitcase was indeed stolen, we can't release the suspect! This involves not only the smuggling of tens of millions of diamonds but also new modified drugs. We have just found that Miss Wagner has suspected records of disqualification of a contest from the consumption of drugs! We have taken her blood for the test! If Miss Wagner is confirmed with a history of drug consumption, the nature of this incident has changed again. If she consumed drugs, sold drugs, and relied on them to satisfy her addiction, her crime would be more serious, resulting in no visits and balings, let alone taking her away right now! Sir, instead of negotiating with us, it's better to calm her down and think about when the luggage may have been replaced! Otherwise, even if we can find conclusive evidence from searching through all the surveillance footage, I'm afraid you can't..."

Patting his forehead, Wyatt was rendered speechless. What was worse, it never rained, it poured. Raynee's blood and urine revealed a positive reaction, which made no sense in the face of proof.

With the solid evidence in front of him, Wyatt could do nothing about it. He could only find a way to get someone to delay the process and win time to prove her innocence. With that, he tried his best to communicate with Raynee and attempted to solve the current problems as soon as possible. Of course, the most important thing was to know whether she had been framed or caught red-handed.

During the period, the screen of Wyatt's cell phone had lit up more than once, but since he was in the middle of dealing with the issue, he switched to silent mode and never answered the call.

In the hotel, they were impatient from all the waiting. Finally, she saw that Abel's face revealed a slight resignation. Waverly could only order the waiter to serve the dishes with a stiff smile plastered across her face.

Various kinds of exotic and extraordinary dishes in addition to some popular wild vegetables and food, a well- prepared large-scale meal, both of them obviously had no appetite. At the dining table, Waverly secretly dialed Wyatt's number more than twice and sent countless messages.

In the end, her face was gloomier than her father's.

Placing vegetables on his daughter's plate, Abel heaved a secret sigh with a frown as he said, "Why would you eat so little? It doesn't taste good? Or do you lose your appetite when you're with me?"

"Dad..."

Raising her gaze, Waverly stuffed two pieces of vegetables into her mouth. "What are you talking about?! I would only eat a lot when I'm with you, wouldn't I?"

She held back the anger in her heart. Waverly's main concern was her father. She had lost her temper and forced her father to come over. When Abel had come over to visit her despite his age, Wyatt had broken his promise and stood them up. She was enraged! Had she known it would happen, why would she have insisted when Abel had mentioned that he couldn't come over?

Similarly, there were traces of displeasure in Abel's heart, but when he saw her obvious disappointment, he could not say anything, not to mention how he dared not express his obvious dissatisfaction on his face.

He was afraid of hurting his daughter's heart!

To a father, a man's such behavior meant that he didn't care about, nor did he respect Waverly at all. Abel wasn't bothered by how Wyatt treated him, but with how his baby daughter was treated lightly, he wasn't willing to accept such a man in becoming his daughter's closest family as the endearing father he was!

"Dad, I'll frequently return home to keep you company! Every time I'm with you, I can eat to my fill. I don't have to be afraid of being teased by others when my belly bulges. Dad, you should eat more. This is Casterwich City's specialty. It's well known!"

Not knowing what was stuffed in her mouth, all Waverly tasted was a mouthful of bitterness. Little did she expect such a scene to take place right before her father's eyes. She was embarrassed!

Right then, she had wanted to say, "I'm having a good time, so you don't have to worry, Dad." Yet, she could no longer get such words out of her mouth!

The long and lonely meal was tasteless as it came to an end despite all the delay. When she got up, Waverly's heart had shattered into pieces.

She was upset for both her and her father to have been set up!

"Dad, it's late. Won't you stay for another day? It's fine if you leave tomorrow..."

Waverly took her father's arm. Seeing the gray hairs on Abel's aging sideburns, Waverly felt the sudden urge to burst into tears. What was she doing by forcing her father to make the trip in a hurry?

"It's fine, I've invited an old friend to watch the sunrise the next morning! Half of my life passed in the blink of an eye. We usually won't have the opportunity to meet up. I don't know if there's another chance to watch the sunrise together in this lifetime! It's rare for him to come back to visit his family, so we planned to watch the sunrise together! We made a promise that we will watch the sunrise as if we traveled back in time to when we climbed the hill in high spirits. In the past, we dreamed of the entire city and world underneath our feet..." noveldrama

As he patted the back of Waverly's hand, Abel smiled and continued.

"Alas, we've indeed aged. Now that we want to step on the entire city underneath our feet, the hill is the hardest to climb. Fortunately, I have a son and a daughter, so my life is meaningful! Waverly, let's not force things too much! Humans have a short life. In fact, being happy is the most important. There is no need for us to compromise all the time! Casterwich City is just so so. Come home as soon as you're done enjoying your time! Yecaeus City is beautiful as always!" Being careful not to overdo his persuasion, Abel's heart ached for her!

"Dad..."

In reality, Waverly didn't want Abel to go through all the trouble. There weren't any

other thoughts in mind. "I get it, I'll come home if I'm not happy! I'll be fine, I won't feel...wronged!"

"That's good!"

In the special police booth of the airport, Wyatt had been communicating and

analyzing the entire incident with Raynee. In the end, he found a key point in her words.

"Have you taken analgesics before getting off the plane?"

Could it be the cause of the misdiagnosis? "Why didn't you say it earlier? There

were so many people inquiring about what special food you've eaten, so why didn't you mention it?"

Scratching his hair, Wyatt was near to vomiting blood from rage. "Some prescribed medication contains the composition of the drugs. A lot of drugs

meant to treat colds contain ephedrine! It may cause the test results to have a positive reaction!"

What was the use of crying and shouting for injustice?

"I... I don't know! I often take this medicine. When my body hurts or I have

headaches, I will swallow a pill..." Confusion was written all over her face, her eyes brimming with tears.

Why had she never encountered the problem of a positive test reaction? Wyatt rolled his eyes at her and almost died of anger.

"Drugs have momentary effects, not to mention the tiny amount in the medicine

tablets! Else, why won't the drug addicts consume two pills to satisfy their drug addiction?! You got off the plane soon after you swallowed a pill, so something will be amiss if you're tested negative for a drug test!"

They had been revolving around the food she had taken. Why did they ignore the

main point?

If the medicinal tablets indeed contained the ingredient, she would be cleared of

her accusation!
