Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 2131

Tyler glanced at the woman who had eagerly thrown herself into his arms. It was obvious this was all part of the director's plan. Tyler preferred things neat and tidy, so the directors always arranged for women who were new to the scene. It was an exchange of resources, and the women were willing participants.

He pulled her closer with a cocky grin. "Come on, Bert, do you think I'm scared of you?"

With women on their arms, they headed upstairs to a private room.

Meanwhile, across town, Athena had prepared a dinner of seven dishes, but there was still no sign of Tyler.

He hadn't called, which maybe meant he'd eventually show up at home?

She sat at the dining table, waiting for what felt like an eternity. The food had gone cold, but still, Tyler hadn't returned.

Finally, she picked up her phone, hesitated a moment, and then dialed his number.

Tyler was currently busy, completely absorbed in his escapades, having forgotten all about Athena and the promise of dinner.

The woman beneath him was making quite the noise, and he absently reached for his phone, hitting the answer button.

"Who is it?" he asked, his attention clearly divided.

Athena's heart leapt. "Are you coming back for dinner tonight?"

Tyler's mind took a second to catch up, finally recalling that Athena had been cooking at home.

The woman beneath him moaned again, clinging to him.

"Tyler, why'd you stop?" she teased, her voice a seductive whisper.

For a fleeting moment, Tyler felt the phone grow hot in his hand, a rare pang of

guilt washing over him, as if he were caught in the act.

But what right did Athena have to catch him? They weren't anything official.

He quickly regained his composure.

"I'm not coming home for dinner. I'll be out all night."

Athena heard the woman's voice. She wasn't an idiot; she knew exactly what was happening on the other end of the line.

She didn't say anything.

For some reason, her silence made Tyler feel even more guilty, mixed with an irrational annoyance.

Why'd she have to call now of all times? Wasn't it just asking for it?

He abruptly hung up, turning his attention back to the woman beneath him.

Her cries grew even louder.

Athena remained seated at the table, staring at the now-cold dishes, feeling her heart grow even colder than the food.

The housekeeper stood beside her, gently urging her to head home before it got too late.noveldrama

After all, Tyler had made it clear she wasn't allowed to stay overnight.

But she had brought this upon herself.

The housekeeper thought Athena might cry, but instead, she quietly began clearing the table.

"Ms. Zade, let me take care of that. You should get some rest," the housekeeper offered.

Athena forced a small smile. "Thank you. I appreciate it."

The housekeeper felt a pang of sympathy. She had worked for Tyler for many years and knew well enough what kind of man he was.

Years in the entertainment industry had taught Tyler to see women as mere playthings, never offering them his heart.

Poor Ms. Zade, such a lovely girl, had chosen to fall for someone like Tyler.

"Ms. Zade, if you

Athena took a deep breath, Sher emotions. "I know what of man he is, but I can't let go. Just want to keep trying Thank you for your concern."

Seeing she couldn't be persuaded, the housekeeper sighed.

"Ms. Zade, you're beautiful and talented. You deserve better."

"I have my reasons," Athena replied softly.
