Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn)

Chapter 123

When Allison had a bit too much to drink, her voice turned all soft and sweet, with a playful lilt at the end that was just irresistible.

Joshua felt like he'd been hit by a lightning bolt.

It was like someone had lit a fire inside him out of nowhere.noveldrama

Down in the audience, Joy's eyes were practically sparkling as she captured the scene on her phone. She nudged her coworker excitedly. "This is gold! They're the real deal!"

Her colleague nodded in agreement. "They're like a fairy-tale couple! I'd sacrifice anything just to see them happy together!"

Behind them, Brian let out an exaggerated groan and slapped his forehead. "Why am I torturing myself by watching this love fest when I'm single? Talk about shooting myself in the foot!"

Joshua was caught off guard by Allison's repeated calls of "husband" before it hit him that he needed to get her off the stage.

He scooped her up in a classic bridal carry and started heading down.

Allison instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, staring up at him like he was the only guy in the world. How could anyone look this good?

He was like a character straight out of a romance novel.

Completely captivated, Allison started babbling, "Hang out with me tonight... I've got cash. Whatever you want, it's yours, hehe."

As Joshua walked past Brian, the guy couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Ha ha ha, are you trying to hire him or something?"

Joshua shot him a look that could cut steel.

Brian quickly mimed zipping his lips, signaling he'd keep quiet.

Joshua hadn't even had a chance to respond.

Allison, still nestled in his arms, gave him an adorable smile and kept at it, "Come on, name your price, cutie."

Even George, who rarely cracked a smile, couldn't help but chuckle.

Brian was practically doubled over, trying to stifle his laughter.

He sneaked around to record the whole thing on his phone. This was prime entertainment for a rainy day!

Joshua looked seriously unimpressed, and glanced down at Allison in his arms. His words squeezed out through gritted teeth. "Allison, where'd you pick up this stuff?"

Allison blinked her pretty lashes, her lips curving into a pout as if she'd been scolded. "If you don't want to, fine. No need to be so grumpy."

Her whole demeanor was soft and sweet, making Joshua's resolve crumble in seconds.

"Kiss me," Allison mumbled, all tipsy, clinging to Joshua's neck as she angled up to give him a peck.

Brian, George, Joy, and the rest widened their eyes, not wanting to miss this unexpected show.

A public kiss was something sober Allison would never even consider.

Even Joshua was caught off guard.

Drunk Allie was way bolder than he could've imagined!

"Kiss me," Allison insisted, her flushed cheeks brushing against Joshua's. Her warm breath sent a rush through him, making him tingle all over.

He pressed his lips together, trying to keep it together, and looked away from her flushed face, "Allie, come on, don't start."

Allison nuzzled his cheek and broke into a giggle, her voice clear and girlish. "You are Joshua, right? No one else says my name like you do."
