Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson)

Chapter 85

"Here…" Noah took a piece of paper from his pocket and placed it on the coffee table. This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

Nelson picked up the paper and examined it closely with a puzzled expression.

Noah wiped his son's drool with a cloth. "This was from the leftover milk you drank. Dad had it tested. It contains several prohibited substances, the kind that can only be bought on the black market abroad."

Nelson looked up at him and fully understood his intention.

Noah's highlighting of Sabrina's hardships over the past few years and her good character had been building up to this moment.

Someone who worked so hard and had such integrity wouldn't resort to such underhanded tactics.

Besides, she wouldn't have the means to obtain such substances.

"If she didn't drug me, why did she admit to it?" Nelson swallowed hard and recalled the events of that day.

She was scared and vulnerable but couldn't push him away, which allowed him to take advantage of her.

He fell silent. She had denied it, but he hadn't believed a word.

When he looked up, he saw her placing trimmed flowers and plants on a small table vase.

Nelson returned to his room and didn't come down for lunch.

No one called him, likely out of concern for Sabrina's feelings.

After lunch, Sabrina played games with Xyla on the carpet.

The child's gleeful shouts irritated Nelson. He wondered if the soundproofing in the manor had always been this bad.

After some time, there was the sound of a baby crying.

No one seemed to be soothing the baby, so Nelson walked to Noah's room. The baby was alone in the crib.

As he carried the baby in his arms, the cries became louder.

Nelson frowned and muttered, "What did I do to you for you to cry so much?"

Sabrina came upstairs and was surprised to see Nelson at home.

"Uncle Nelson, do you know how to soothe a baby?" Xyla asked.

He shook his head.

Sabrina stepped forward and gently took the baby over, patting him lightly.

The crying baby calmed down in a split second and lay peacefully on her shoulder. He stared at Nelson with teary eyes.

"What are you looking at?" Nelson growled at him.

The little one pouted. Sabrina said nothing and carried the baby downstairs, with Xyla following closely behind her.

Nelson frowned and followed them downstairs.

Sabrina did nothing special but hold the baby, and he behaved immediately.

It was said that people that were loved by children, dogs, and cats have pure hearts.

Nelson sat on the sofa with his legs crossed.

He stared at Sabrina gently holding her nephew.

Xyla sat close to her, and Sabrina's expression was equally gentle when she spoke to her niece.

He believed she would be a great mother.

"Since you like children, why don't we have one?" Nelson said.
