The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella)

Chapter 1407

James had just finished perusing the single-page summary of the company profile and quickly placed it on the table. Leaning back in his chair with a casual air, he looked up and commented lightly, "The information on such an ordinary little company wouldn't be this organized."

Wyatt nodded in agreement, his expression grave. "I thought the same, so I had someone dig deeper. But this company's information security is extremely tight; there's very little we can find."

"As long as it has surfaced, there will be traces to follow. It's only a matter of time before we uncover everything," James said, narrowing his eyes.

"Right, I'll keep someone on it. Oh, and there's another thing. The medical association is having their president elections in a few days. Presley has also invited many leading figures in the medical field, and it seems they'll be using a voting system," Wyatt added.

"That soon?" James was slightly surprised. He had just been discussing the presidency with Mirabella on their way to the restaurant.

At this moment, Mirabella also snapped out of her contemplation and looked towards Wyatt.

"It's no secret within the association that David's health is failing, but Presley's eagerness to take his place seems a bit too conspicuous. If he really becomes the president, who knows what will become of the medical association," Wyatt said, somewhat melancholily.

"Then we just won't let him take that position," James said coolly.

Hearing this, Wyatt's lips twitched slightly. "James, you're not thinking of...?"

James took a sip of his coffee, not answering Wyatt but instead turning to Mirabella, who was sitting across from him. "I remember you're also a vice- president of the medical association."

Wyatt's head snapped towards Mirabella, his face incredulous.

Vice-president?

When did Ms. Mirabella become a vice-president of the medical association? Mirabella glanced at James and said, "Don't make trouble. I'm not interested."

Her voice carried a distinct tone of disdain.

Wyatt silently touched his nose, unable to hold back his curiosity. "Ms. Mirabella, you're a vice-president of the medical association? You said before that you've never been to the association?"

He remembered fetching medicinal herbs for her once and had specifically asked her about it.

Mirabella responded nonchalantly,

hadn't been before. Later, I

happened to meet Mr. Boyd, and he invited me to join. So, I became anoveldrama

nominal vice-president."

Hearing this, Wyatt looked even more conflicted, feeling like James was becoming

less and less of a match for Ms. Mirabella.

Mirabella didn't look at Wyatt's expression and just lowered her eyelashes,

indifferently sipping her coffee without saying more.

Soon after, the waiter brought in the food. Wyatt, having said nearly all there was to say, tactfully left first.

Once alone, James looked up. "Really not interested?"

Mirabella sighed lightly, revealing her troubles. "To tell you the truth, I've got a

stack of family estates waiting to be inherited in my desk drawer."

James was puzzled.

Meanwhile, at the Boyd family home.

Devon was presenting a medicine had concocted based on a prescription Mirabella had previo written to David. "Master, please take a look at this medicine."

David's complexion had improved significantly over the past few days, allowing him to get out of bed and move around. After inspecting the medicine, he appeared somewhat gratified. "Though it's not as pure as what Mirabella concocted, it's quite commendable."

Devon looked up with respect. "I can't compare to Ms. Mirabella."

"There's no comparison," David agreed.

Devon was silent.

At that moment, David's phone, placed not far away, rang. Devon walked over to pick it up for him, his brows involuntarily furrowing when he saw the caller ID.
