Chapter 1419
Soon, a colleague finished the call, "The team on the other side has found the person."
Presley's ominous premonition grew stronger upon hearing this.
"Alright, that means we can proceed with the arrest," the lead officer said, nodding.
Presley looked up, then back at the officer. At that moment, his phone on the table began to vibrate intensely. Turning his head back and glancing at the caller ID, his expression changed, and he could no longer maintain his composure.
He pinched his fingers together. With law enforcement present, he simply could not answer the call.
Noticing the change in Presley's demeanor, the lead officer glanced at the phone on the table. "Why not answer the call?"
Seeing the phone number had already made Presley restless. Hearing the officer's comment forced him to calm himself down, grab the phone, and directly press the hang-up button. "Just a scam call."
The officer smirked, not having the time to listen to more excuses. He pulled out handcuffs from his pocket, cuffed Presley's hands, and told the two colleagues beside him, "Take him away."
The extraction was swift, and the others in the conference hall hadn't even reacted yet.
The leading officer walked out last, stopping in front of Wyatt to nod, "Mr. Wyatt, we'll be taking our leave to report back."
Wyatt nodded politely, "Alright, thank you for your efforts."
The officer smiled, turned around, and left.
Once the officers had left, the tense atmosphere in the conference hall dissipated. Everyone looked at each other, unsure of the specifics of Presley's case, but the situation clearly wasn't simple.
What was supposed to be a standard election for the president ended up like this. The vice-president overseeing the meeting stood next to David, shocked for a moment before regaining his senses.
He coughed, glanced at David, and then at the other vice-presidents, unsure of how to conclude.
After all, everyone had voted for Presley, and now he had been taken away by the police in front of so many people. It wasn't just that he couldn't become president now, but the reputation of the Pharmacists' Association might also be at stake.
The vice-president, feeling a headache coming on, pressed his temples and, seeing no one had any ideas, instinctively turned his gaze to David hoping he would step in, and quietly said, "Mr. President, given the situation today, what do you suggest?"
Devon, hearing the other suddenly calling his mentor "Mr. President" again, couldn't help but sneer, "What, now you want my mentor to take charge again at this time?"

he looked towards David, "Should we caffoff today's election and discuss
it another day, or will you continue to lead for now?"
David, having experienced coldness and warmth from people over time, had already grown disillusioned. He shook his head, simply stating, "Continue."
The vice-president was taken aback, not quite understanding David's intention, "Continue? But the results of the voting were already clear when you arrived. How can we continue?"
What do you think?
