Grant's eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of intensity flashing in them. Then, a subtle smile played at the corners of his mouth. "No need to worry. It's just a side effect of the acupuncture, totally natural. And given that you're pregnant, it's perfectly normal for your memory to be a bit foggy. Don't sweat it."

He continued, "As long as we keep your neurovascular condition in check and your hormones stable, that's the main thing."

Chloe nodded, but her face still showed a touch of frustration. "I just can't shake the feeling that I've forgotten something really important."

Chloe was baffled. What was going on? She quickly called Isaac. "Isaac, what exactly did you send me?"

Isaac sounded confused. "It's a tracker. Isn't that what you wanted? The link lets you check its location anytime."

"Why on earth would you send me something like this?" she asked.

Isaac replied, "You asked me yesterday to put a micro-tracker in a watch, remember? You even wanted a bug, but I told you it was too tricky with the watch's system, so you dropped it."

"Seriously, sis, I asked what you were up to, but you wouldn't spill. Now you're asking me why?"

Chloe felt a sharp twinge in her head. Something flickered in her mind, but she couldn't quite catchit. Quickly, she pulled herself together. She must have been onto something. Though she hadn't figured it all out yet, she cautioned Isaac, "Isaac, don't tell anyone about the tracker, okay?"
