Before heading over, Chloe checked her friend's location. Grant had been there earlier, but now it seemed he was back at the office. Perfect timing, she thought. She flagged down a taxi and headed straight for Rooster Hill.

As they drove along, they passed a cemetery, and even the driver shivered. "What's a pregnant woman like you doing in a place like this? Haven't you heard about the ghost stories that haunt Rooster Hill?" he asked, visibly uneasy.

Chloe, unfazed by superstitions, soon found herself in front of a grand villa. She hadn't expected to find something so lavish out here, especially surrounded by scattered graves, which gave the whole place a creepy vibe.

The driver was clearly spooked. "We're here. Please, step out," he urged hastily.

Chloe stepped out and asked, "Could you wait here for a bit? I'll be out soon, and we can head back together."

But the driver was having none of it. "No way. This place gives me the creeps. Find someone else. I'm outta here," he said, and drove off before she could even pay, leaving Chloe standing there, a bit stunned by his abrupt departure. Talk about a lack of professionalism!

Now alone, Chloe took a deep breath and pushed on. Why wasn't this villa on any map? She had a hunch that the owner was her friend.

As she slowly approached, the villa's door swung open on its own. A chill ran down her spine, and she thought about turning back. But then a figure appeared a well-dressed butler.

"Are you Ms. Chloe?" he inquired.

Chloe was taken aback. "You know me?"

"Mr. Grant showed me your photo, Ms. Chloe. He asked me to make sure you were welcomed warmly," the butler replied.

Something still felt off to Chloe. Did her friend anticipate her visit?

"Please, come in, Ms. Chloe."

Realizing she couldn't leave now and assuming her friend was already aware she was there, Chloe decided to step inside and see what was up.

The butler had already turned and walked in. Before following, Chloe quickly texted Connor her location with a simple message, "Come pick me up." After a moment, she added, "Bring my brother with you.

Once the messages were sent, she stepped through the gate. Inside, she noticed her phone had suddenly lost signal. There had to be some kind of signal jammer. Still, she reassured herself that the message had gone through.
